Panama, with its extreme humidity and high salt content near coastal areas create a perfect environment for rusting and oxidation. As such, it is recommended you take care to find a rust proof solution. I've personally dealt with clients who've decided to cut corners on low quality asian track only to have it rust to the point of uselessness within anywhere from seven months to two years.

When you invest in your window dressings, with quality fabrics, soft trimmings, and an elegant valance... it may seem like a good idea to try to save some money on the item nobody sees: the hardware. But as with most things in life, you get what you pay for and drapery track is no exception. If you plan on keeping your curtains for more than a couple of years it is recommended to invest invest in usability, and in long life by using a hotel quality track.

In Nostalgia we use a European track on all of our workroom produced curtains. Beyond its inability to rust, we are proud of drapery track for a variety of reasons:

• Dry Lubricant: The track is treated with a dry lubricant (similar to Teflon) to always allow for easy operation
• Bendable: Our track can accomodate to curved windows and extend around corners.
• Overlap/Underlap: Specialized end pieces force one side of the curtain or drapes to hang over the other, preventing light filtration.
• Heavy Duty: The track and the carriers will comfortably carry and move heavy drapes, even with blackout lining.
