Harlequin is a very unique English fabric and wallpaper brand that not only is unique in its use of briliant colors, textures and designs but in their awe-inspiring presentation which provide a set of fabric samples with their matching wallpapers in a very modern, and totally chic way.
We know that whenever we receive a new collection in this format from these nice english chaps we're giddy over what they've come up with and completely in awe because we just don't know how they do it time and time again!
Combinations in such collections are prominently displayed at the beginning of a chapter, such as in this ROMAINE collection offering, the fabric and wallpaper options use go-with colors follow within the same section to offer you or your designer a choice in a very easy to understand manner. The picture on the right shows the SIRENA collection, which is a unique richly colored fabric in the popular watermelon green and chocolate variety. Presented in such a way the fabric and its wallpaper counterpart give you a solid base from which to start and is an excellent beginning for any design. From there on out it would be recommended that you choose a complementary, but neutral solid or textured weave would expand upon the impact of this collection while not taking away from it.
The collection pictured on the
left, LOVARA of the ROMAINE collection gives you another idea of the colorful genius that is Harlequin. Few designers, much less entire companies, design color like this. Every color within a Harlequin fabric seems to be used to the very best of its ability. If one thing is to be said, Harlequin does not miss an opportunity to make an impression.
But Harlequin's genius does not end with Wallpaper and Fabric go withs, but with more traditional go with partners- fabric on fabric. The Harlequin brand has some amazing pattern collections that combine fabulously with what some of us here in Nostalgia consider to be Harlequin's true unique strength- rich, deep solids. Their velvets and silks
are like no other, in their girth and their softness but especially in the richness of their colors. Pictured to the right is a MIMOSA Silk fabric, combined with a KALAYA pattern.
If you're a lover of colors, of classic patterns and/or a lover of modern design- give Harlequin a chance to get into your heart. The ease of use of their book collections and the grandiose of their design makes it an excellent place to start looking for any home or office decor.
